Noise Assessment
Study: Riverside Community Hospital Helistop Project

The
AGI staff went to Riverside, California to evaluate a possible helistop site at
the Riverside Community Hospital. By
following city and federal guidelines for noise and aviation, the AGI staff was
able to find the results of background noise like aircrafts, traffic, and
speech. Then using a computer program,
future noise levels were found, such as the noise from a helicopter when the
helistop is ready. Using all the data and results collected from the site, AGI
will give recommendations on how to lessen the unwanted noise to the
surrounding areas like homes, parks, or schools that can make a complain
afterward.
