facility in downtown San Diego called PureFitness,
a work-out gym. It will be located on
the 8th and 9th floors of a commercial office building. Due to office spaces and other businesses
around and directly underneath the fitness area, all generated air borne sounds
and vibrations that go through walls and floors must be minimized noise so that
levels will not surpass local noise standards.
Theses sounds are mainly distributed by machines, music, people jumping,
etc. Regulations and guidelines that
help drop the sound and vibration levels must be abided by in order to avoid
complaints from the surrounding neighbors.
By
reducing the area of hard surface floors, installing Impacta-Regupol Probase
underneath carpet or padded areas, plumbing system are incorporating with
acoustical lagging, this will minimize flow of motion between the walls. Through the application of guidelines and
recommendations to prevent or lessen disturbing noise or vibration to
neighboring tenants, PureFitness will
not disturb anyone outside their location.
